When working with customers we strive to deliver the best outcomes by ensuring our work complies with all relevant Australian and New Zealand Lighting standards.

Our business quality is also maintained through certification of our Integrated Management System.

Principles of Good Lighting

To create good lighting outcomes, we believe the following three principles should be applied.

Utilise latest luminaire technology and hardware

Ensure lowest glare and obtrusive light

(as low as reasonably achievable)

Ensure the smoothest uniformity

(as high as reasonably achievable)

Environmental Considerations

It is important when employing light at night to do so in a manner that preserves the night in a respectful way. Low quality, incorrectly specified, or improperly installed outdoor lighting can detract from night preservation as well as waste energy. We recommend the following to ensure light pollution and energy consumption is minimised:

Make a proper lighting design – select appropriate light sources and go beyond cost and energy efficiency.

Use lighting controls.

Use appropriate luminaire optics to limit glare.

Use light only when and where needed – use shielding and aim light where needed to avoid light spill.
